Petticoat: Now with lace!

After three days of  hand sewing I finally have the seven yards of lace sewn on the petticoat. It needs to be ironed so its smoother. I'm exhausted from sewing but its fun and gives me something to do. I still have another seven yards to sew. I'm adding another layer, right under the first so the lace appears full and pops a bit more. I have to wait until tomorrow....er...today much later today (Its midnight already) to buy the second seven yards of lace which I have a coupon for so it'll be 50% off! The first time I bought the lace I also had a coupon and instead of 24$ I only had to pay 13$. This time the sale is for 50% off instead of 40$ so I'll save a few more bucks.

Its turned out pretty well. I just want the lace to be more full so that second layer will really finish the look off.

Ignore my mess. I still haven't put away my cosplay stuff from LAST con. The two cases below are for personal items and cosplay make-up/ wig caps and stuff.

And yes...that is a bit of my large manga collection. I think I can see Black Butler and Trinity Blood...and xxxHolic. I have a ton more but those are off to the side.

Oh! It needs to be ironed so badly! It'll look so much better once it's been ironed. I really hate the line that can be seen here and it almost drove me to the point I wanted to undo all my sewing on the lace and the hem but then I remembered the skirt of the dress will be covering that line so all they'll be able to see is the lace peeking out from the dress.

So I saved myself a headache and time that could be spent working on Abel's coat. Which will be my project tomorrow or this weekend depending on how I'm feeling.
