March 10th

I was reading through my con's rules for the costume contest and boy am I nervous now. It closes on March 10th which means I have to get two costumes done before that time. Progress pictures are required  a music track is needed, as well as three ref pictures. I have a LOT of work ahead of me. Luckily the new chapter (60) of Trinity Blood had a new picture of Abel's coat that I'm making for my fiance. So now I have three for Abel and three for Caterina. Although now I'm thinking that I need to go check the manga and see if it shows more views of the dress I'm making since they want different views (That's really hard since the dress was from the artbook. It is in the manga as well but only for a very short flashback.)

Luckily I still have two major tracks from the album.

Both very well known songs for Trinity Blood's anime. I'm still thinking which would be better for Caterina and Abel. They'll only hear about a minute and thirty seconds of the song so I have to chose the one that gives off the feeling we're going for. I think Broken Wings will be the best idea but I may change my mind later.

I have been taking lots of pictures of the progress to post on here and DA so I have that under control as well. The only thing left is getting the ref pictures squared away. Since I'm making both costumes they'll be entered under my name. I'm hoping to get a good feel for the contest so later on the road I can do many more costume contests. I'll be entering the novice section this year since its my first time making costumes that are over 70% hand made by me. Trinity Blood isn't cosplayed much at both cons I've been to, although I did see a awesome Seth at my smaller fall con and a Abel and Queen Esther a few years back. I'm hoping people will know who we are. If not I'm going to have a blast being the only ones dress as those characters!

This one will be used for both of us since they are both in it. This was the picture that really made me want to make these costumes.

This will be used for Caterina's ref. It shows a different view of the dress. This one is from the manga, like the one above, but the dress seems not as full and is a bit shorter. I wont be making mine like this but it does show the details on the front.

The new ref picture from the new chapter. I was super happy with this new chapter, been waiting for it for a long time, and was glad to see the coat in there. It'll be used for Abel.

The picture we're going off of. There is only one artbook picture showing these outfits hence why I have to use the manga ones as well. The details on the front of Caterina's dress are the same I'm using on mine. The length (I'm guessing) is a bit longer. The dress is also a bit more full.







So now I wonder....
