Patterns are hell

Today I started cutting fabric for Abel's coat. Which I'll have to stop by the fabric store and buy some more yards before moving forward with that. The darn coat should be hard but luckily for me my friend is going to help me modify the patterns or make news one if we can't modify the one I have. We'll be doing the same with the dress for Caterina so I have hope I'll be able to finish these costumes on time so I can enter them into the costume contest before March tenth.

I'm so excited to be making these costumes. So while I have that worked out. I'll now need to figure out how to do his double belt, find some boots for Abel and find some boots for Caterina.

As you can see below Abel has two belts, one goes across his waist and the other slings over his shoulder. It should be easy but I hate working with thick fabrics like leather so I'm hoping to find belts at the local GoodWill that can easily be worked with. The details are most likely going to be going to be made out craft foam.

Things to do:

Abel:
~Belts
~Find shoes
~Buy rosary

Caterina:
~Finish rosary
~Find ribbons
~Find shoes

Both:
~Make metal plates
~Finish sewing

I'm so hopeful I can get these done along with my mother's help and my friend's help. So wish me luck. I'll be posting a lot of pictures soon.
