Arrived-8th (Right on time!)
I seriously am falling head over hills in love with Gothic Lolita Wigs. GLW
Not only do they have free (and FAST!) shipping but they are very nice to work with and their products are worth every penny spent on them. This is my second wig from this company and I can't say one bad thing about them. There is only one thing I don't like but it can easily be fixed. So onto the review!
Strawberries in Cream 1g wig as shown on the site. This is their stock photo. The packages had nothing wrong with it. It was sealed, carefully placed inside a plastic bag with a free wig cap. Since nothing was wrong with the packaging I'm not going to take pictures. If you want them then just ask and I'll post them later on. :D
(Sorry for poor photo!)
This is my beautiful wig. I was so excited to come home and find it. I knew was coming today because they did give me a tracking number and of course I stalked it every few hours.
(Gawd my room is messy. Pre-con guys, sorry.)
The bangs are long so they can be swept off to the side which is what I did with my Rhapsody wig. But I think I'll cut them into a fringe so no one can see my brown eyebrows.
The wig's length is to my elbow or natural waist line. Which is perfect I wanted something long that wasn't too long. Waist length was what I was hoping for. Now I'm 5'2 1/2 so I'm pretty darn short. So it may not be waist length on you.
The color is very well blended. The yellow is soft, more of a chick yellow rather than a true natural blonde, which I like much better than it being a natural color. The pink is pastel, soft but noticeable.
The twin tails (Ponytail clip ins) are sewn onto pale yellow clips which blend in well when clipped in so you don't see them when they are on the wig base. They aren't cheap clips either, I've bought some bad clips in my life but these are steady and firm. You can see the netting which is ok since it doesn't show once on the base but the weird elastic thing is the only downside to the whole wig.
See? It's the elastic piece. It's way too long and shows. So I'll just have to cut it or sew it so it doesn't show. Other than that little flaw the wig is perfect! And since it can be fixed easily it wont lower the rating of the wig.
The back of the wig.
See how the colors blend well? It's throughout the whole wig. I can't get over how nice these colors go well together. I love it.
Back showing the twin tails attached. So cute! There are so many ways you can attach the twin tails. I'll try to do a different post about (with pictures) later this week.
This really shows the pink color well.
The base wig on alone. It's really nice. When I first pulled the wig out of the bag I thought it looked kind of thin but once on it really looks nice. Not really "full" per say but nice enough to where it looks like real hair. I really, really love the soft curls at the end. So lovely!
Twin tails on. Adds a ton more curls. I love this wig so much. I think its my favorite so far. This wig was on my wishlist and after I totaled my other lolita wig I decided to get a new one in case my cosplay didn't come in time. I'd have something fun to wear for the con.
So this wig was chosen by my fiance! Nice, right ladies? I was going to get one of the wigs from the Princess collection but he kept insisting on this one. And he was right. This wig is much more versatile, even if it has pink I think it could work with many other outfits. So I'm glad I let him pick. XD
Over all rating
Five stars. Nothing wrong with this wig. I suggest to every lolita who wants a good wig that she can wear over and over again to buy from GLW. Will be posting picture of the full outfit around Augusta 31st when I'm at the con space.
